FB what doing wrong PIP

Ok I posted a few days ago about gaps from my FB OS. What am doing wrong we had leaks yesterday from the gap at legs. I am going to try and add pics so you can see.I will put the links at bottom cause I don't know how to add pics.  Also once they get to larger size the liner does not fit so I have been doubling liners one in front and other in back? What should I do?

  • Do you have the elastic pulled tight enough? Even in the top photo it looks like there are gaps in the leg.

  • I'd tighten the elastic in the legs. I have mine set to a different number on each end to get the right fit. I don't generally worry if the insert doesn't totally fit, so long as I have the main area covered. For me, a little space at the back and front makes it keep messes in a little better.

  • Thank you for putting the pictures up. I don't think there is away to tighten the elastic cause that is what sets the rise. And if I make it tighter then the rise will not fit him right? I am getting so annoyed I am almost ready to get rid of these diapers.

The elastic around the legs is not going to have a major impact on the rise given those photos. You don't need a lot of tightening, just a little.

But, if they don't fit him right after that I can understand your annoyance and would suggest you trade or sell. Not all diapers work for all kids. Sorry it is causing you such frustration!

Try just moving one end of the leg elastic in one loop, that may be all you need and it won't affect the rise much. You can also move the leg snaps in to a tighter snap. I see the same gap in the top and bottom photos too.

Are the inserts totally soaked when you have the leaking issue?? If so, it may be an absorbency issue more than a fit issue.

  • Based on those photos and seeing the wing droop I'd actually loosen the elastic. That would increase your rise and make it probably easier to tighten the waist. There was a blog post on granola babies dot com that actually gave weight/elastic setting combos and that was a revelation for me.
