Re: WARNING! SOFT CHEESES

  • Well, aren't you full of good cheer today.

Care to tell us about cottage cheese while you are at it? Perhaps feta?

  • Loading the player...
  • Cottage cheese and cream cheeses should be fine as long as they are made from pasteurized milk.

You guys do realize that the word "pasteurized" comes from Louis Pasteur and he was French so clearly, you can't trust "pasteurized milk" when it comes to gambling with your baby's life, right?

are you telling me I can't trust it because it's french.

Pasteurization just means it's been heated hot enough and long enough to kill bacteria.

but if it can't be trusted because its french... then I totally understand.

    Yes

And not "should be" fine...ARE fine. And everything that is sold at your local grocery story is pasteurized.  You truly hardly need to worry about this unless you're a foodie who eats at specialty cheese shops.

  • Damn it.  Now I want some cream cheese.

Are you asking seriously? Because clearly pop tarts are ok because there is fruit in them, bonfires are the devil's work, and I don't care for Irish people.

Puh-leeese!  Everyone knows if you microwave it, it only gets SOFTER.  The key is to freeze it.  Then it won't be a soft cheese.

  • I lived off cream cheese and bagels my first fri.  Guess my baby is going to have three arms and a tail?

And you're right.  Pop tarts have fruit in them.  100% fruit, no sugar.  They're healthy!
