I nurse when I'm home and I pump at work. When I pump I'm only getting 10-14 oz total for the 3 times I pump at work. I nurse DS in the morning before I leave for work, then I pump at 9, 12, and 3 and then nurse him when I get home around 5:30 and then again around 7:00 at bedtime. DS is drinking 16 oz while I'm at work and obviously I'm not pumping that much, so I think I'm going to have to add a pumping session at home before I have gone through my whole freezer stash.
My actual question though is on the weekends on EBF and don't pump at all. DS nurses every 2 hours and seems satisfied. So if he's getting enough to eat when I'm nursing, how come I'm not getting enough when I'm pumping? Is my supply going down or is there something up with my pumping?

how long is he apart from you ? 16 oz may be too much for the time you are apart. it is hard for DC providers, they are usually use to FF babies that drink bigger bottles and increase as they get older. We send 4 bottles ranging 2.5 to 4 oz each, a total of 13.5 oz, the last one is the smallest it's a snack bottle that she has right before DH picks her up. I am usually able to get what I need each day, I do pump 1x on the weekends each morning for 10-12 mins to get a boost and extra milk
check out hte milk calculator at kellymom, is he being fed every 2 hours at DC - then 4 oz bottles would seem too much for every 2 hours
And baby is more efficient at nursing than the pump!
I am just transitioning back to work full time so what LO is eating vs. my pump output hasn't been really established. However, I have been pumping at night before bed since LO was ~8 weeks to build my freezer stash. I do not plan on dropping that session as it's my "saftey" if I have low output days.
I have been leaving 3-4oz bottles and 1-2 oz bottle, and I am away for 8.5 hours.
