Sure, if the baby is allowed. It will give you lots to talk about and I'm sure she would appreciate the company. I hope your friend is doing much better.

I would. I had to go to the chemo area in our hospitals to get IVs while I was pregnant (good ol' m/s) and all the older patients there getting chemo were all over that. A lot of them talked to me and my belly.
dd was a preemie - i was told to avoid ppl on chemo treatments due to their weakened immune system. I do not know, however, how long I'm suppose to abide by this.
They may not allow you to bring the baby into the chemotherapy area. Mainly because babies have a weaker immune system than adults, and many of the drugs they use for chemo can leach through the skin and body fluids of the chemo recipient. They may not want you to chance having your baby be exposed to the toxic drugs. It's a liability thing more than a real issue, because chances are your baby will not leave your arms while you are there, making the chance of exposure very slim.
No. Some of the stronger chemo treatments have noxious odors, as well as chemicals that absolutely cannot be touched by pg women, so probably not babies.
No way. My mom is a Chemo nurse and says no, no, no...some of the chemo drug fumes can harm your baby and your baby can harm those w/o an immune system.

Also, the comprised immune system would worry me.

So a 2 fold NO!
