DD has the flu :(

She threw up in my bed 5 times between 1-6AM and then had diarrhea and vomiting throughout the day. She has been keeping down pedialyte this evening though. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long I'm supposed to wait or what signs I should look for before calling the doctor..?

BTW the diarrhea has given her the worst diaper rash ever. It wasn't there this morning and now it's horrible. I just feel so bad for her. Overall she isn't acting like she feels sick though. She just cries when her diaper needs to be changed because of the burning I would guess.

    Aww poor thing. If she isn't doing better by tomorrow I would call the pedi. I hope she feels better soon.

    I would give it a day or two. We just had a flu bug rip through my office and home last week

    DS puked for 3 days, and had diarrhea for 2-3 days after that. He's still not 100%, but he's getting there. He's more tired that anything.  He's now got a cold to boot too. It took me a week before I felt like living again too.

    If it's a virus, it's gotta run its course. Keep your LO hyrdated. I'm not the type to run to the doctor right away. Watch for a high, persistant fever, and lethargy.
