TTC After a Loss

Digital OPK vs internet cheapies

A while back I bought the woldofo (sp?) 10 htp's and god, I think it was 40 opk's. I am buying the 5 pack digital HTP's on Walmart now, and there is a 7 digital pack OPK.. I am going back and forth whether to buy it or not. The 5 pack of HTP's are $20, and that's how much the OPK's are too. It says it can detect the best 2 days to concieve ahead of time.. eek I don't know if i should just buy them or not!

Re: Digital OPK vs internet cheapies

  • I wouldn't use a digital if you are testing early.  I've heard they aren't as sensitive as the cheapies.

ETA: I didn't read very closely.  I have no idea how good the digital OPK's are.  Sorry!

  • Thanks for the imput! I will use the cheapies at first but I am planning on waiting til 12DPO to test. Basically I want the digitals to confirm :)

Whats your take on the digital OPK's?

  • I use both.  I use the IC OPK until it looks close in color, than I test with the digital to confirm.

The digital are so $$$, so this makes them last longer.

  • I'm too cheap to buy digital OPKs, but I go through a LOT of OPKs.  When I can find a good deal on the POAS style OPKs I prefer those, but the wondfos from Amazon will tell you the same as the digitals.  They are just more tricky to read.  It seems like several ladies here use the digitals to confirm what they think a cheapy is saying.

That's a great idea I will try that. I went ahead and bought digitals of both the HPT and OPK's (dang $40 bucks!).
