Pediatrician Help!!!

Help! I don't even know where to start with picking a Pediatrician. I live in Brewster and I'm delivering at the Putnam Hospital. Can anyone recommend a Pediatrician in the area. I am looking for someone in Putnam County or even Somers. 

Also, what do I look for or ask when I go see them?

    I delivered at Putnam also and had the BEST experience!!  As for a pedi, we use Gary Wenick, he is on Rt. 22 in Brewster.  He is part of MKMG, but in the office by himself, the number is 845-279-2323.  He is fantastic, he came to Putnam to meet my daughter when in the special care nursery and came and checked on her daily even though she was still under the care of the neonatologist on staff at Putnam.

    I delivered at Putnam also. I LOVED them. I also had DD in the specail care nursery. A awesome awesome place.

    Wish I could say the same about my experience at Putnam Hospital, but I can't. Maybe being a nurse myself I expected better care. I will however say that I am a pediatric nurse and I highly reccomend Dr. Mark Childs in Brewster. He is awesome! He only accepts newborns as patients cause he is very popular. He is with the Mount Kisco Medical Group which is in Brewster just before Kohls. His number is 845-278-6626. Just give them a call from the hospital once the baby is born and he will set up an appointment for either the day of or day after your discharge. Best of Luck!
