Anyone else have a toddler that still cries before bed

every freaking night? She wont let me hold her or rock her to sleep. She needs to go to sleep on her own, but cries in her crib before bed every single night!

DS cries a few minutes then he is out. He won't let me rock him anymore, it is better if I just lie him down and he is out after a few sniffles and cries.

Noah is almost 1 and has been sleeping in his crib since day one. He still does it too! Although the last week he wants me to rock him before bed and he seems to sleep better! I hate that he cries..but hopefully it passes soon GL

DS used to fo it every night, and for every nap. He finally stopped last month.. (he is now 16mos) However every once in a while he'll cry.. but it doesn't last longer than 5-10 min..

Yep and I have a feeling she'll always be that way. It's not that she cant put herself to sleep but more that she doesn't want to miss out on anything.

DD starts crying as soon as I start carrying her up the stairs. She cries thru the whole diaper change and putting the pajamas on. I still nurse b4 bed so that calms her down, but I don't know what we will do once I drop that feeding.

I feel the same way! The bedtime feeding will be the last feeding I wean off of her because I'm scared to even try to take that away! She's done well with the two feedings I've dropped during the daytime, one that includes her morning naptime nursing. But bedtime just seems like a whole other ball game!

DS does this, pretty much every night and for every nap. It's just what he needs to do to fall asleep, I guess! Sometimes it's worse than others, though. It's usually 5-10 minutes of crying.

I'd say 7 out of 10 nights, yes. We never did CIO, but now she'll cry a bit now. But after a few minutes she starts saying "It's t.t.'s night night. It's t.t.'s night night" and I know she's about to go to sleep.
