pre-pregnancy clothes?

How long until you were able to fit back into your pre-pregnancy clothing? What did you wear in between? I'm so excited to get back into my regular clothes, but DD was just born last Friday so I trust it will be awhile before it happens.

Re: pre-pregnancy clothes?

  • I wore my pp jeans to her 6 week appt.  They were tight and muffiny, but I still squieezed into them Stick out tongue

  • ugh.  My pre-pregnancy jeans still do NOT fit.  They hardly zip up but it is NOT cute.  Today I wore leggings to work.  Much better :)  And let me tell you I have been playing softball and volleyball since 6 weeks post baby and no magic results yet. I have to start targeting my mid-section and start running :(

  • about 6 weeks pp I was back into PP jeans.  I have a bit of a muffin top (hoping to melt that away by walking every day and doing "plank" whenever I think of it!)

I might have been able to fit into them sooner, but I didn't want to deal with the disappointment if they didn't fit, so I delayed until I was pretty sure it was going to happen.

  • It took me a few months to fit back into pre-pg clothes & I still can't fit into everything. I weigh less than I did when I got pg, but my body is proportioned differently now.

  • By 3-4 weeks I was in my looser pre-pregnancy clothes.  By 8 weeks I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight and wearing all of my old clothes.  In between I wore a combo of work out clothes (yoga pants, etc.) and maternity clothes.  I was REALLY surprised at how quickly I got back to normal.

  • Definately not fitting into my PP jeans yet- but I can fit in my "fat" jeans that I wore PP when bloated lol- Just waiting for my hips to shrink back down- so far so good- losing weight slowly but steady. but NONE of my shirts fit due to my new DD's... I have sooo many shirts just waiting for me to wean... it's tempting- but I just wear my husbands t-shirts for now hoping my breasts will shrink back down after I quit BFing but I don't know when that'll be.
  • I bought a lot of items that weren't maternity clothes that I wore throughout my pregnancy. So even though I don't have bump they still work for this inbetween stage. I can't zip up my jeans yet so my Bella band has reemerged from the dresser. I feel like I'm in reverse pregnancy.

  • My pre pregnancy pants fit about 5 days pp. They irritated my incision a little so I waited until about 10 days pp to actually wear them.
  • I feel like I look fine, but my hips must still be pretty spread. I can fit into my "fat" jeans and they look good, but my regular jeans are still hanging in the closet.

  • I fit back into pre-preg stuff around 3 weeks, but I didn't start wearing it until 6 weeks or so. Those 1st 6 weeks, I wore my maternity clothes- they were so comfy and I wanted to get some more wear out of them.

    This.

But I got so tired of wearing my maternity pants, so I went out and bought a pair of jeans and a pair of black pants in an embarrassingly large size. That was two weeks ago, and now they're too big. Unfortunately, I'll probably "grow into" them again once I'm back at work and parked on my rear end all day ;(

  • With LO#1 it was months. :( Gained a lot of weight though with him. With LO#2 my hips are still spread I guess cause although I'm not as big as I thought I'd be, I can't pull up my size small maternity pants. :( I hope soon though. As soon as I'm cleared to, I'll start exercising.
