Is Chuckie Cheese really dirty?

'Cause I'm desperate.  The two local indoor play areas have closed (for good).  The others are 45ish mins away and it's pouring out (so likely longer than that).  DD and I have been in the house since Tuesday at 11:30. She is ready to pull her hair out.

We've colored, watched movies, read stories, played dolls, called every relative under the sun and are fat out of ideas.

So, I'm debating on Chuckie Cheese.  I hear it's dirty (not the specific location near us) but in general.  

 Is it really gross?

    As an adult I've only been once when we babysat my SIL's twins when she had her third. I don't think it's any dirtier then anything else geared towards kids. I made sure we all washed our hands and I don't remember getting sick.

    I think it's germy and it grosses me out to touch anything in there but if you're desperate to get out of the house I would give it a try.  I've only ever been there on the weekends for birthday parties and it's a MAD HOUSE!!!  There isn't much for my dd to do there at her age so we always go late for the party and try and show up when it's time to eat.  In general the place stresses me out so I'm probably a terrible person to respond:(

    The one near us seems pretty clean as far as kid places go.  On the weekends it's a madhouse and I dread having to go to parties there, but maybe on a weekday it wouldn't be so bad.  I'd go check it out!

    I havent been to CC in YEARS but I was wondering if your local mall has an indoor play area?  I know ours does and they clean it down 2x a day.

    Well, we gave Chuckie Cheese a go.  It wasn't dirty, it just wasn't a "good fit" for DD.  She hates rides unless another kid is on them and the games were all a little more advanced/geared towards older kids.  Her short little legs made it hard for her to get into the climbing area.  Maybe next year:)
