Hi ladies, I have my first birth class Saturday and am super nervous about what I will hear and watch.  It is held by my midwife and she has different speakers coming in and there is a big range of labor techniques given based on hypnobirthing and bradley I think.  Anyway, I have been slowly trying to immerse myself into the reality that I will have to deal with labor.  I want to start watching birth videos before the class so I dont freak out.  Can you reccommend/post below any specific sites or videos you liked?

    I second the 'Business of Being Born'.

    This book is also pretty good - 'Body, soul and baby : a doctor's guide to the complete pregnancy experience, from preconception through postpartum'. It gives you different meditations and visualization techniques to do to confront your fears and "check-in" with your body and your emotions.

    I didn't follow every little thing religiously, but it did seem to help. I found it at my local library.
