LO's birthday party if from 2-4 pm on Saturday and I'm still debating over the menu. Since its in the middle of the afternoon I know that no one will be expecting an actual meal, but I tend to go overboard anyway and need to reel myself back in.
What was/will be the menu at your LO's first birthday party?
Re: 1st Birthday Party Menu?
Kate's party is on Saturday too! It's from 5 to about 8. We're doing a full sit down dinner...and having Olive Garden cater it. We have a little over 90 people coming. I'm starting to think this was a crazy idea.
If yours is 2-4 you can do heavy appetizers...cheese platters, veggie and fruit trays..
Well, since ours will be in Feb, we'll be doing warm comfort foods! Probably a big electric roaster of shredded pork and another of something else for people to make sandwiches. Chips, Baked Beans etc. Mainly, something that freezes well if we have leftovers!
It's really going to depend on how big we go. Kaygan's birthday is the 17th, and my mom, uncle and cousin all have birthdays on the 15th. And since there is usually a Monday off in there for Pres. Day, those 3 families tend to travel to gtg. So, this year, we may have them travel to here and have a big party for all 4 of them!
