Pregnancy Books like Belly Laughs

Anyone know of any other funny pregnancy books like Belly Laughs written by Jenny McCarthy? I'm tired ot the serious "what to expect when your expecting" type books.

Re: Pregnancy Books like Belly Laughs

  • I haven't read Jenny McCarthy, but Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy is cute and inserts funny comments/stories.

  • I read a funny one called "Sippy Cups are Not for Chardonnay".  I don't remember the author's name, but I'm sure you could search by the book name on Amazon.
  • Belly Laughs has a sequel called something that I don't remember, I think it's about the first year after having a baby. I haven't read it yet, and it's not exactly a pregnancy book, but I'm SURE it's still funny while mildly helpful lol.
  • The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy is funny.  It's a bit more of a pregnancy book than Belly Laughs, but still entertaining.  It's the only pregnancy book I read all the way through.

  • Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy has been recommended to me!

  • I love "From The Hips". It is a pregnancy info book, vs a true story ar anecdotal story or whatever, but it is funny, and has lots of moms' comments in it.

  • I am currently reading "What to Expect When You're Expected".  It is hilarious.
  • The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy TERRIFIED me.  A friend gave it to me shortly after I found out I was expecting.  It had me in tears.  I felt like she absolutely hated being pregnant, and was only talking about worst case scenarios.  That was just my experience with it though, and I was still early on and hearing a lot of things for the first time.  Most of the mommies I've talked to who read it loved it.

  • I loved Belly Laughs, and I liked Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy. I actually just read Jenny's new book  Love Lust and Faking It and I enjoyed that. It had nothing to do with pregnancy but was still hilarious and a fun read :)

I second this.  I'm reading it right now and absolutely loving it.
