Since the pill artificially controls your cycle by preventing ovulation, and the point of charting is tracking your ovulation, then no, you should wait until you come off the pill to start charting.

Um, there is no reason to chart while on the Pill. Birth control prevents you from ovulating, which is what charting/temping helps you determine. So, basically, there is nothing to chart while on birth control.

You can to get in the habit, but it won't give you any info. I'd start maybe Nov if you really want--but IMHO you'd be fine waiting until you are really off.

I'm not an expert (I wish I was), but if you chart while you are on the pill you will get a monophasic chart (no temp shift). At least that's what I think I've read. What would you hope to gain from temping on the pill?
There's no point in charting while on the pill. The pill can mess with ovulation, CM, and your lining amongst other things. All of the things you'd be keeping an eye on when charting. Just start when you come off.
You can just to get in the habit of doing it! Because you are on the pill, you aren't ovulating, so charting won't help. Start right after you stop your pills.

This. You could just get into the habit of taking your temp every morning. But as far as tracking your cervical fluid or what your temp actually is, its pointless until you are off the pill and you won't learn anything from it (besides getting into the habit)
