I haven't never done this but would love to start. Are there certain things that work better for this than other dishes? Give me some idea of things that I could make then freeze. Another silly question if I am making lasagna or something do I bake it then freeze it or freeze before baking?

Re: For those that make and freeze meals
Every time I make Bacon wrapped Meat Loaf. I buy 5 pounds of beef and make it all up. Usually about 6-7 meat loaves.
I bake them completely and then wrap and freeze them. This is the only thing I freeze.
YUM
Sometimes I'll freeze actual meals, like lasagna (I do usually bake it first, but I think you can do either). Soups and stews also freeze really well.
What I do more often is to freeze components of a meal, like sauces. Then I can just defrost a sauce and make some pasta or enchiladas or whatever to go along with it. I always make my own sauce so that's the most time-consuming part.
I freeze my lasagna first and then bake it when we are ready to eat it. I put it in the fridge before work and then pop it in the oven when I get home.
I also make and freeze a meal called Chicken Divan. Here is the recipe...
