This was a FB status from someone I know (who clearly has some growing up to do):
Hollie Jo Oh my hell it's early work I regret the day I was forced to become partners with u. Maybe I'll just break my leg so I can't work. Or get pregnant like all the other lazies out there, yeah not!
"Or get pregnant like all the other lazies out there..."
I wish they had a punch out emoticon for facebook. WTF?!
Re: Ummmmm....Did she REALLY just say that?!
I think I would have responded with something along the lines of this:
"Well, I really hope for the sake of your un-born children that you choose to never get pregnant, but I can definitely get on board with wishing that you break a leg!"
Her full name isn't up there (and I just broke the link to her name).
It was most likely an accident. I highly doubt she's vindictive enough over that status to purposely post her facebook link when her friend doesn't even frequent the bump.
i must have clicked the link before you broke it cuz it brought me straight to her facebook page.. haha... she looks like a piece of work too.
I didn't realize until after it had posted that the link was active so I had to edit the post to take her name off of it.
Agree. What a biotch.
I say we form a pregnant women's strike all over the USA (and parts of Canada). I have only missed one day so far, and that was because I wasn't able to move without throwing up all over the place.
Then again, do I really work if I'm sitting at my desk, but playing on the Bump all day with you girls?
This is what I'm saying! I went into labor with my son AT WORK! I will work up until the day I have this one too, as long as the pregnancy allows it! However, if we preggos have a free pass from work, I'm turning mine in!
I think that might be the case. It's not like she's even a great model for hard work...she has a PT job at TJ Max (I'm questioning why I've kept her on my facebook page as I type this). I work a lot harder than she does between my volunteer work, working from home, taking care of all of the domestic projects at home, etc.
I posted a comment saying "I'm pregnant and I'm not lazy". She posted a defensive reply about how she wasn't calling all pregnant women lazy to which I encouraged her to re-read the wording in her post.
Just a quick little update...I suggested she re-read how she worded it and her reply was "It was perfectly worded".
Needless to say I'm going to revisit my friends list tonight.
