Parenting after 35

Phew! I'm starting to get out of this funk ...

Gosh!  that was an incredible few weeks.  Serious PPD mixed with NICU babies mixed with 3 under 2 and all the stress around being a wife, cook, cleaner and mom!  Geeesh, enough to drive anyone batty!

Sleeping is not all there just yet, but they have given me 3x 5 hour stretches which I thoroughly enjoyed.  Although DH was scared at first due to their fragility, he is now helping me VERY much (probably just scared to death that i'll just leave him alone with 3 babies-LOL-a comment I must have muttered while in my state of craziness) he now changes them and feeds them when I want to take a nap and babysits when I want to spend some "alone" time with N for an hour or so at the park.

Thank you ladies for all your kind words, and although you think that i'd be used to it by now, there IS light at the end of the tunnel!  WOO-HOO!

  • Nothing like a healthy dose of fear to keep a man in line. I'm glad he is helping out more.

I am glad things are starting to get back to "normal" for you - your new normal anyway.

ETA - I just love all three of your son's pics. You and your DH make some beautiful babies.
