Belly Bars

Anyone buying these?  I tried one of each flavor this week - the chocolate was tasty, but the fruit and nut one made my jaw hurt from being so chewy.

I'm wondering if they're worth the money.

I'm also worried that I'd be getting too much iron from the bar and my prenatal.  Is that possible (I know it is for some people, but I don't have that condition.)

Re: Belly Bars

  • I've eaten the chocolate ones a few times.  It's not something I would buy to have on hand all the time.  They are pretty pricey.

  • I bought a few chocolate ones when I was buying clothes at a Pea in the Pod because they were at the check out and looked yummy...they were ok...personally I would rather eat a snickers bar...I didn't like them that much.
  • I've bought a handful of them.  I keep one in my purse and another one in the car for emergency snacks.  They remind me of eating power bars.  They do fill me up when I need a snack but I usually can't eat a whole one.  The texture sometimes makes me gag.  I have bought them at Pea In a Pod  for $2.50 and at Target for $1.99.

  • i keep a few on hand for emergency snacks. they are ok. my doc loves them and says they are loaded with almost everything a prenatal has. he recommends them to women who cant take prenatals or flinestones because of getting sick.
