If I have freshly pumped breast milk in the fridge (I pumped it this a.m.) and I warm it up to give to LO, but she doesnt' finish the bottle... what can I do with that remaining milk in the bottle?
Do I put it back in the fridge and then warm it up again later? How long can it last?
Or do I have to use it now at room temperature within a certain amout of time?
Thanks in advance! And to think, I nursed DD1 for a whole year and now I have these questions! I simply can't remember since I almost never bottle fed her. (I'm only giving DD2 a bottle today as a trial to see if she'll take it when she goes to day care in 2 weeks).
Re: BM feeding (bottle) question
Thanks! So how long would you let it stay in the fridge then? A day or two?
My pedi told ne not to reuse bm from a bottle she drank from. So I err on the side of caution and give her less to start, and keep refilling the bottle. I'm still so new at pumping, I don't want to waste a single drop!
