If 'p' helps you poop, what helps diarrhea?

DS has had watery poop for almost 2 weeks now. The Dr's arent concerned since he is not showing signs of dehydration and he has no fever but he seems uncomfortable when it comes to pooping. he pushes so hard and its just water. I know doarrhea is not fun so what can I give him to help? We try rice cereal but its not doing much...
