Company right after c/s?

Those MoMs who had a c/s, how did you feel right afterwards? Did you have company? I'm wondering if I should ask the grandparents to come in the evening instead of the morning. WDYD?

I felt pretty good. For the first 2 hours or so after I was still numb (so the least amount of pain I'd be in the entire stay). None of the pain was very bad at any point (other than some rare nerve pain I had). We had grandparents and DS1 come up a few hours after they were born, I wanted a few hours to take them in just the 3 of us, then DS1 got to see them, then we let grandparents in (I thought the big brother should be the first to see them other than DH and I). As far as company, I had people wait a few days (had c/s on a Thursday and invited people up on Sunday). We didn't have anyone visit our house for the first week or so. After DS1 was born, it seemed like there was just a constant flood of people in the hospital and at home and my head was spinning, I felt like I really missed some of the early bonding with him (but I'm not a big entertainer, I like to kind of be left alone).

I felt good after the c/section and wanted to see my babies in the NICU right away. I had all the grandparents there and it was ok since I still wasn't feeling anything. This time I want it to be just my husband and me and we are not even going to call the grandparents until after we had our time to bond. I want the time to be more private this time.

the first day i felt OK pain wise- but VERY sleepy, and had tons of hot flashes - I didn't want a lot of company.

We told our family that we'd call and let them know when we were ready for visitors....we had the babies at 8am... and visiting hours didn't start until noon- so that was good to have a few hours before anyone could even GET into the maternity ward

my MIL came around 1pm and I felt OK but VERY tired and thankfully she understood and did not stay long at all.

my family came later in the evening- which was much better for me - feeling pretty good by then.

I didn't have Griffin (DS1) come until the next day and i'm glad b/c by then i felt so much better- and was able to shower so I looked better, too - so he didn't get scared that i was sick or anything I was also off all IVs by then and able to move around more.

I felt like shizz all day and pretty much was passed out the entire day into the night. I don't know why, though. From what I have read, it's not normal. My OB said it was just because of the emergency circumstance surrounding my c/s and a bunch of other factors. So I am hoping to be more with it this next time! To be safe, we are telling people to visit the next day.

I felt great after my c-section b/c I was so hopped up on the painkillers they gave me in my IV and from adrenaline. The grandparents came to see us almost immediately after we got to our room, which was about 2.5 hours after giving birth.

Actually, the first day would have been the best one for company for me. They kept my epidural in for 24 hours for pain control so while I was basically confined to bed, I really felt no pain. Add to that my DDs were in the NICU so I was basically hanging out in my room by myself. DH did kidnap me and take me to the NICU that night, but it was a little complicated since I really couldn't walk (or feel my legs) and had a bunch of tubes (epidural pump, IV, catheter, etc).

Granted my parents live 500+ miles away, so they couldn't make it that day. But if they could, I definitely would have wanted them to come on Day 1. Although I was upset about the girls, I felt FANTASTIC. Pain medicine= heaven. Props to those who go the Tylenol route after :P

I had my c/s at 6am, and asked people not to come until the next day. Glad I did. I had time to just be with the babies and my husband, and to feel a bit better. Plus, you have the catheter in for awhile, and I didn't want to have company with that thing it...felt weird!
