Both of my parents went there (and met there) plus 2 uncles. H and I both went there (and met there) undergrad. We got married there. We are now both back there in grad school. Yeah, we might have a problem.
If you could take any trip right now, where would you go and who would you bring?
ok, if DD wasn't a factor, I really really really want to do an African safari trip. That is my dream trip. BUt that requires about 3 weeks and I can't do that now.
H and I have talked about doing an alaskan cruise.

Any chance you have a burning desire to move to South Carolina? I swear you're in my head.

I have always thought an African safari sounded fun. I'm think I'm too chicken, though.

is Charlotte close enough? Because thats one of our top 2 choices for when we are done with school (this may)

H comes from a big ND family, too.
That's quite a ND legacy.
I will say this: both of us (H and I ) were raised to respect UM and all that jazz....even though we hate them one day a year

Africa is definitely on my list. My SIL just went there this summer & had a blast.

Coastal SC is much prettier - hint, hint. What is your other choice? And what are you studying?

Tampa Bay (my hometown)
H is getting his MBA. I'm getting a masters in Not for Profit Administration (business).
H used to live and work in Charlotte and loved it. I'm not sure how many oppertunities coastal SC would have for him...but we will keep it in mind
Why did you decide to go back to school? Are you enjoying it? Did you consider other schools besides ND or did you always want to go back there?
H knew he wanted his MBA because he wanted a career change. I knew, some day, I wanted a masters that would mix my teaching skills with business. ND was one of the few that offered both. We based it on where he got in. He got into better schools, but none of the top programs offered anything for me. So we came back to nd.
I ask since I never expected you to make this sort of post, lol.
yeah, this is very unlike me.
I'm drinking red wine. I've had two glasses and am working on a third. Sadly, these days, that does me in. I miss my old tolerance
And I always love to share!
Have you tried Hallow wine by the leelanau wineries? They sell it at meijer and it's delicious! You aren't to far, if you want to drive I'll share! I have an extra bottle LOL :-)

I love Charlotte... I'm hoping to move to NC (Asheville) in the next few years. That hippie town was made for me. Close to Charlotte too!
You are from Tampa and considering going back? I have lived in FL my whole life and I'm ready for a change. The older I get, the less tolerant of our brutally hot, humid summers I become. I'm over it and I want to live in the mountains of NC!

I've seen it at Meijer but I haven't tried it. I'll definitely pick up a bottle though!
I'm thinking driving right now is not a good idea though

I LOVE ashevill! It doesn't make sense for us right now, but I would move there in a heartbeat!
I've been away since I was 18, so I'm missing it (FL). I enjoyed my time away though.
I think its good for floridians to move away at some point. I mean, its good for everyone to move away at some point, but FL is so unique that I think its especially important (that applies to some other locations as well). DO IT!!!

Seriously this. You can't have lunch during a workday on the beach in Charlotte, and its not as hot as Florida!
The only thing Charlotte has over where Kate and I live is a) Keanu Reeves, and b) a great place to get eyebrow threading done.
H is getting his MBA. I'm getting a masters in Not for Profit Administration (business).

Very true, we don't have as many business opportunities as Charlotte. My sister went back for an MBA so I am sure I will soon here about the opportunities here.
If you could live anywhere in the world (not thinking about jobs), where would that be?

I would move back to London. IN a heart beat. I loved it there and would love to raise a child there. I think our parents would kill us though
Jamie: Charleston is actually on the top of my list for domestic travel

Oh my goodness, I would move just for eyebrow threading. My eyebrows have not been the same since I stopped.
Jamie, let's bully her into moving here. Irish seems susceptible to peer pressure.
I have been known to make the three hour trip to Charlotte just for expensive eyebrow threading.
And I agree. Though I might fear for her safety, being surrounded by Gamecock and Clemson fans! (I almost fear for my own safety, considering my college didn't even have a football team, which is apparently sacrilege)

Bah - USC fans don't care about ND. Nothing matters outside the SEC.
(My college didn't have football either. Don't tell my neighbors.)

I is special
I've been meaning to report you to CPS for the obvious child abuse going on in your siggy.
I have brown eyes and H has green. So her eyes are from the mail man
But thank you. I love her eyes!
Such a call should be reserved for those that subject children to losing teams. Something the Irish know all too well this season.
snap
Robinson is riduclous BTW. Not that you aren't aware. But I was at the ND/UM game and I was in awe.
hahaha
Screw poor people. I haz mine.
He saved the program.
Seriously why ND?
Oh I was doomed to be an ND fan.

I can tell you're drunk b/c you're making typos. It's funny.
Do you like living in the Midwest? (I'm a born-and-raised Ohioan.)
What is your favorite post that you can remember? Your least fave?
ETA: Doh! I missed it!

hehe yeah. OOPS. I also can't stay away. Good thing I have tivo for Grey's
I do like living in the midwest. Both of my parents were raised in the midwest so I was raised with midwest values (mom from OH, dad from Chicago)
Fav post: that is hard. I enjoyed the troll who thought she had twins because of two positive pee sticks. That was fun
Worst? huh..so many. But either the h1n1 post that wouldn't die, or the woman who let her 2 week old CIO for an hour.
I thought for sure the post calling you a sanctimonious mama struck you to the core.

Jamie: will I be killed in SC if I hate spurrier? Cause I cannot stand him.
