Pregnant after a Loss

Well, that is pathetic

Someone came to the door and we had the usual "Scout goes crazy and I have to drag her to the powder room so she can eat toilet paper while I talk to the nice person" routine.

I feel like I just ran a marathon. The fact that I've been staying off my feet as much as possible for over a month now isn't helping.

Energy does come back, right? Sheesh. I'm panting over here.

Re: Well, that is pathetic

  • It took awhile for my energy to come back.  I think it took so long mostly because I laid around pretty much my whole first trimester due to feeling sick.  I had to work on rebuilding my stamina.  The last two weeks have been pretty great though.  Hope you get more energy soon!

  • I pretty much feel run down all the time.  It takes a high amount of adrenaline to keep me up past 9:00, even with my daily 5 pm nap.

  • You made me LOL at your routine with the doodle.

Sorry your energy is so low.  I can relate, but if it helps, I'm told 2nd tri it's supposed to get better.  Lets hope so!

  • The energy might come back...the panting gets worse though.

As far as Scout, have you tried practicing a wait command?  Start with just "wait" and then work up to making her wait while you or your DH ring the doorbell and then progress to strangers.  It might help.

Of course my dog goes crazy when strangers are at the door too...

It's a work in progress. She'll "wait" until the door is open, and then she bolts.

    Um.  Yeah.  Sure it does.

    ;)

    Crap.

  • Sometimes it does, eventually!  Mine slowly came back around 16-18 weeks.  Not nearly fast enough.
