There, is that something different? I had a good UO all lined up on Tuesday, and it completely flew out of my mind, ugh.

My UO, I don't get how democrats (in general) are pro-choice yet against the death penalty. It's okay to abort an unborn child but it isn't okay to take the life of a murderer.
That just never made sense to me.
FYI: I am pro choice and I support the death penalty.
well, I'm pro choice and anti DP. To me, a fetus is not an independent life and therefore not murder.
My reasons for being anti DP are long, though. it is , IMO, wrong for many many reasons.
The issue with abortion is those on both sides cannot see the issue from another POV. I get why people are pro life, because they see it as a life. Why can't others get that I don't? You don't have to agree with me, but at least try to comprehend that we approach it differnetly.

I don't see what's not to get. I don't see abortion as murder and I am against murder. I see the DP as murder.
Not everybody believes that life begins at conception.
As long as our flawed legal system can prosecute and put to death innocent people then the death penalty should be used as punishment.
Well I'm on the fence about DP. I have many issues with our justice system but I do feel that people should have punishment for committing murder so that leaves me on the fence. I am pro-choice. I also don't consider a fetus an independent life, so therefore I don't consider abortion murder.
I think the Bump has been exceptionally boring as of late.
We need some good drama to liven things up.

I 100% agree. How people choose to raise there family is up to them. Unless it affects someone personally, they shouldn't care how anyone raises their children.
eh, I get it. An innocent child is involved (or children). So yes, there are some things I care about. Plus, with the welfare post (even though I don't agree) it DOES effect those who had that opinion because its their tax dollars.
The right to reproduce cannot be taken away just because it will cost more in tax dollars. God forbid any of those Bumpies fall on hard financial times, but if they do, they will realize how degrading it probably is to have wealthier citizens trying to make their family planning decisions.

I mean parenting styles. Of course if a child is obviously in a bad situation, then of course but i was just referring to the way people raise their kids with their different styles and beliefs.

I'm not being snarky, but smiling is not the definition of an individual human life. I defer to science on this one because I certainly don't know enough to decide. And science does not say life begins at conception.
My personal comfort level is the age of viablity, but like I said, I defer to science for the defiintion of life.

my (possibly) UO is that people need to stop generalizing! there are more conservative democrats, more liberal republicans and usually it depends on what area of politics you are talking about! (fiscally conservative, morally conservative etc.)

I think the adoption system is flawed. Anyone can go into a hospital and give birth and the hospital lets them take the baby home.
But in order to adopt you have pay a whole lot of money, endure countless interviews, have countless background checks and wait years.
It doesn't seem fair to me.
My UO is that people who are trying to be "green" and all that jazz are just doing it because it's the cool thing to do now. For a long time people where I live have been called backwards and behind in the times because we grow/raise our own food, you can see people riding horses all the time instead of cars, we get called murderers for killing a chicken or cow or pig or deer to feed our family, we have friends who come and get our llama wool and make clothes out of it, dry our clothes on a clothes line, we do everything we can to support ourselves before having to get/buy things from others...and now all this is the "green" thing to do. Hell we were "green" before "green" was a thing!
Me, too. THe way I look at it, if Baby could possibly survive outside of the womb, then abortion isn't OK. So, prior to 24 weeks, I don't view it as murder.
