School-Aged Children

So proud of DS!

DS started kindergarten barely writing (he has been a bit slower with the fine motor skills), he could write his name but didn't want to write if we pressured him, so we didn't.  Last night he spent most of the time writing all sorts of letters and numbers without us asking him too!  In just one month of school he has made tremendous strides!

Re: So proud of DS!

  • Yay!  Isn't it amazing how much progress they make?

My son started K this year as well, and he also has trouble with fine motor.  In fact, he goes to an occupational therapist for help with this once a week.  I am amazed at how much writing my little guy does during the day -- and I can almost always read what he's writing!  No wonder he's exhausted and cranky at the end of the day!!
