If you have a 4 month old eating solids come in.

Our daugther has a severe milk allergy and is on Neocate.  The Pedi suggested we start solids and I really wish we hadn't because she pretty much refuses her bottle now.  She eats minimally from it now when before she would take 7-8 oz.

Anyway, my question is, how much formula/milk is your LO still taking if they are eating solid food too?

    Hey love.

    I now have a 5 1/2 month old eating solids. But I did have a 4 month old eating solids.

    He is eating about 30 oz / day probably. But I have noticed that he's much more intersted in his solids than in the bottle. And he's more intersted in the bottle than in the boob.

    I'm hoping both are kind of a phase.

    Can you back of solids a little bit? Maybe just once a day?

    I'm sorry you're dealing with this now. You've had hell with her eating all along. Various reasons, I know. I'm just saying. Poor Lambie.

    29.5 oz. per day (her bottles range from 5.5 oz to 7 oz.).  The amount of formula hasn't gone down yet, but we're only offering solids once a day right now.

    DD gets some cereal and has had squash but she is still mainly BF and gets formula too. She doesn't get solids every day though., and when she does, it's just once a day. Since we haven't worked the solids as part of her regular diet yet, I'm not sure how it works but do you feed her a bottle first and THEN solids? Cause that's what I'd do.

    I can't back off the solids because she really won't but 2 - 4 oz otherwise.  She did this for two days.  You would think she would get hungry and give in but apparently not.

    as per the pedi's request, kylie eats 20-25oz of formula a day, 3 gerber tubs of food a day and 2-4oz of water a day!

    DD eats 6 oz every 4 hours and gets solids twice a day( 1 1/2 tbsp of oatmeal and 1oz fruit or veggy). So on average she eats 24-30 oz a day-- and she weighed 17 pounds about 3 weeks ago.
