I'm hosting a shower for a good friend who just had twin girls (it's more of a welcoming party now since the original shower date was cancelled because she ended up in the hospital early). It's a second shower because she already has a 2.5 yo son. Anyhow, I want to get a gift that isn't the typical registry-type gift, especially now that the girls are here.
These are a few ideas I've come up with so far and want opinions:
1. Personalized hooded bath towels
2. Personalized apron/chef hat (obvs. for when the girls are older)
3. Personalized Mom jewelry with all 3 names on them (this may end up costing more than I would like to spend)
4. "Girlier" or larger diaper bag (I'm actually not sure what she already has since she carries a regular purse for her DS)
I'm willing to spend up to $100 if it's a cool gift. I already got her girls nice outfits, so probably want to steer away from clothes. Any thoughts or other suggestions? I need to order soon if I want something personalized.
Re: Thoughts on shower gift needed please (twin girls)
If she has all of the required stuff from her DS, and in the right quantities (2!), I like your suggetions so far. Other suggestion off the top of my head:
-a keepsake box for each of the girls with their name or initials
-a gift certifcate to have family pics done (this could be pricey but $100 will get her pretty far!)
-a mani/pedi/spa gift card so she can escape one of these days!
As a mom to 8 week old twin girls and a 2 year old DS I LOVE these ideas!!!!!!!!! We have a shadow box for DS that his godmother bought him and I have nothing like that for DD's, I got tons of pics of DS professionally done and now w/ 3 kids money is a little too tight for that, and finally escape is necessary. While I didn't find it necessary until DS was much older I was going a lot nuts until I got away by myself for several hours a week ago.
Well, we actually just got her a spa gift cert when she was on bedrest and they often get family pics done and are picky about it. And I know money is not an issue for that and I wouldn't know where to get it.
But a keepsake box might be a good idea. Maybe I'll look into that. Thanks!
