Christmas already?

Is anyone else thinking about Christmas? Last year I waited until the last minute to even begin shopping. I'm thinking this year I'm going to start buying a few gifts a payday. It just seems easier and instead of taking one big hit out of my bank account it will be spread out over a few months. Anyone else got Christmas on their minds or am I the only crazy one?

I'd LIKE to say I'd knock out all Xmas shopping early...but it just never happens. Maybe I'll turn over a new leaf this year?

My husband talks about Christmas year round so there is never an opportunity not to be thinking about it. Just yesterday he mentioned we needed to get a stocking for our son. The man LIVES for this holiday. It's actually quite adorable.

My LO already has her christmas list finished, I made one on toys r us. I am buying her first christmas present today. I am getting her a highchair. Other than that I am making a list and buying a few each month. I am notgoing to go too nutty though. I will get probably her high chair a small present or two, her santa present, amd some things for her stocking. My family is going to spoil her so I don't need to do much.

I keep a list of family and gifts with me year-round. I used to travel a lot for work so I'd buy really cool things while I traveled. This year, it worked really well since I bought my entire family's presents before DD was born and while I still had a real paycheck.

We're not buying her much, but I did order her stocking and holder last week since PB had free shipping.

I was at Kohl's on Saturday and was a little bummed that that was LO's first tree spotting because it is still a good 27 days until Halloween! Target started displaying some x-mas lights on their shelves too.

I bought DS's stocking from PBK last week. It came and I love it! We have discussed getting him a Bumbo seat for Christmas and maybe a doorway bouncer. I don't think we'll go present crazy this year since he is so little and will have no idea anyway! I'll probably get him a few books too. Right now he has toys but no interest in them, so I don't see really buying any more.

If you don't mind me offering some unsolicited advice... my experience with my first son was that the Bumbo was most useful from about 2-6 months. We loved our Bumbo, but if I were you I woudln't wait until Christmas.

We are so excited for Christmas at our house! I begin planning what I want to get people in the summer every year. I haven't bought much yet, but I'm excited to get started! I know I want to get my toddler a play kitchen, and I'm still trying to make a final decision about what to get our new little guy. I am excited to see everyone's ideas in this post!

Hmmmm.... good to know about the Bumbo. I had heard 3/4 months was when they started using it. I'll watch his head control and may get it sooner if he is strong enough. Thanks!

LOL! That is totally something I would do. DH always jokes that one day I will create a spreadsheet to track my spreadsheets.
