Birthday Banner Question

What did you use to tie the circles together?  I was thinking of using tulle..the same kind I use to make her tutus...any other/better options?

    I used ribbon, but tulle would probably be cute, too.

    I was thinking ribbon too..maybe a combo...tulle with ric rac ribbon.
