Max is rejecting his kidney

So most of you knew that Max was going in for a biopsy of his kidney today because one of his levels has been slowly creeping up over the past couple of weeks.

We just spoke with the nephrologist and the biopsy showed that Max is having moderate rejection of his transplanted kidney. Thankfully it was caught early and it's reversible, but it does require a 3 day hospital stay and very high doses of steriods. If this doesn't work, Max will be required to get a PICC line and will be admitted for 10-14 days for an infusion of something stronger.

My faith is gone. Tim and I are worn out and are so ready for something to go our freaking way. We are heartbroken that this is happening when we were told that his chances were so low because of how good of a match we are.

We are begging for prayers that this steroid treatment works.

Thanks were just going to damn well for us. It was too good to be true.
