I only watch the show off and on, but I have often wondered how far they can let Gary and Amber go before someone does call CPS. The language they use and the way they're constantly screaming and then she hits him... ugh. That poor baby.

Amber does need help! I haven't been keeping with the show as much this season, but poor baby Leah has parents that fight and with Amber beating Gary up and cussing around her all the time, I feel awful for that child.

I havent read that article and don't need to! I dont care what shes in trouble for, whatever it takes to get that poor baby away from her. I can not believe she just sticks that baby in the crib in the dark and walks away. And you never see her paying attention to the little girl when she ISNT in the crib. She may have something mentally wrong with her, but if she does she needs to get help and quick. I know it can be hard and frustrating to be a single mom but her abusing Gary and the episode where she told Gary he needed to start hitting Leah when she was "being bad" broke my heart. How can a baby that young be bad?

This is so sad, poor Leah, that baby is so sweet. She was born into an unfortunate situation and Amber doesn't appear to have much support. I hope Gary can take full custody of the baby. He is kind of lazy, but he seems to adore his daughter. Just so sad.

Yeah it is about freaking time! I can't believe the way she acted towards Gary on that show! She punched him and kicked him in the back when he was walking down the staris. She is always yelling and cursing in front of poor Leah. I used to think Farrah was the bad mom, but she is getting better and has been dealing with alot that the show is only just now showing. But Amber is a horrible mother.

Thank goodness! I just watched this week's episode last night & was completely shocked by the way she's acting. I feel soooo sorry for Leah & hate to see any child in an environment like that. She definitely has issues.

In an episode last season the doc gave her xanax and anti depressants. Maybe she ran out.

It's about time that someone stepped in and investigated her. She's a terrible mother. She's so selfish and abusive. She thinks she can do whatever she wants and get away with it. I feel so bad for her poor innocent daughter!

Like I said in the Teen Mom thread the other day, I have suspicions that she may have PPD. She sure acts like it. And Gary had said something to her about her not taking her pills.

But that's no excuse for the neglect. And the screaming and cursing in front of her child. Poor, poor, poor Leah. Gary is lazy, but he is trying. And he loves his little girl.

Thank God the police are involved now. Amber needs help. And Leah needs a better life.

As much as they fight and it's sad that leah hears their verbal confrontations, I have to hand it to Gary for doing what he can to get her out of the situation and doing his best to walk away when Amber's on one of her tirades.

I just hope that she has never layed a hand on Leah. I honestly hate every time they show her on the show. It's just basically fight, hit, make-up every 5 seconds. A lot of it is editing, but it still happens. I was so glad to see Gary wake-up and take Leah away from her. The crib is filled with stuff and then not having a crib sheet on a mattress or a mattress pad....seriously, how comfortable that must be. I cannot stand that she is constantly putting Leah in the crib with a bottle of juice and walking away.

This has been bugging me big time. It's such a double standard. If roles were reversed and it was Gary hitting and kicking Amber, I'm sure the crew would have intervened. Meanwhile, they just do nothing but continue to record her hitting him while he stands there and takes it asking Amber if she's done yet. That was awful.

While Gary may be dumb as a bag of rocks, Amber is abusive and I'm glad there is an investigation. I have a lot of respect for Gary because every time Amber loses it, the first thing he does is try to remove Leah from the situation.

BUT after this last episode and Amber's craziness I said "I dont want to watch this anymore if she is going to be so horrible. It's heartbreaking."

I say take her kid away, kick her off the show and follow Gary around only. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but he does love that little girl.

I totally agree with this.

Amber should not be around Leah unsupervised. She has a lot of issues that she needs to work out before she can be trusted with a baby. She even admitted that she knows she has anger issues.

As much as I agree Amber is crazy with all 4 episodes I've ever watched, I also feel that Gary is not a good example for his daughter and they BOTH would definitely benefit from counseling and parenting classes. Oh, and a dose of grow the hell up.

I watched this episode and I was appalled at her behavior, although it really is not out of the norm for her. As a social worker who has worked in the domestic violence arena and currently as a children's service worker, I definitely believe that she needs some counseling and other services to help her overcome her anger issues. Usually CPS will try to do this in the home without removing the child. I really hope for Leah's sake that Amber and Gary can both learn some better communication and parenting skills. It breaks my heart the way that they behave in front of that child.
