This election is so polarizing and I'm fascinated by the conversations here and IRL.
So, if the person you are voting for DOES NOT win, what will you do? Move to Canada? Suck it up? Complain a lot?
I think that the bottom line is that we can feel so passionately, but at the end of the day we don't really do anything about it.
Re: if the "other" candidate wins ...
I will wait for him to totally eff up our country and then say, "Well, I didn't vote for him!"
I may also complain.
My DH and I agreed to move to Canada if Hilary won, but now not so much. They have universal healthcare there, and it's actually illegal to pay for medical treatment on your own. They say if your neighbor can't afford it, it's not fair for you to.
I'll brobably b!tch and moan a lot. But hey. If Obama wins, we can all quit our jobs because the government will pay for everything and no one will be held accountable for their own actions. AND if you make a lot of money, it goes right to the poor people, so you might as well BE one of the poor people, not work, and take free money from the people who DO work.
**sarcasm**
Watch a lot if the daily show and laugh as I have done for the past 8 years. Only that I will probably still get to do this either way.
No matter who wins there's not going to be a dramatic change as everyone is expecting. I can't wait for the "of course because he is republican" or "of course because he is black" type of whining.
Soon to celebrate the day we met, even if the day before marks when we said goodbye.

Heck yeah gunnitk. Yes I will be sad if my choice does not win, and probably complain to DH, but whatever happened to trust in our Gov. I know I know, you are all probably laughing. But I grew up with my family in the Gov and now I am. I didn't vote for my current governor, but I trust him to do the best for our state.
I love this!!!!
