My husband and I just found out that we are expecting! We are really excited. I cried with excitement when the test showed positive on Monday.
Here is the dilemma. I had 3 periods last month. I know all were not periods, but I bled 3 times in 5 weeks.
Here are the dates of the starts of each one:
August 2nd
August 16th
August 30th
All were different.
The first period was normal, the second only lasted 2-3 days, was light, and bright red. The last one was also short and was more of blod clots than anything.
Based on all of that, we think that maybe August 16th was implantation bleeding, but we are not sure. When we called over to schedule our first Doctor's appointment (which is not until October 28th! 10-12 weeks in is when the schedule) she said she would just go by August 16th, but didn't really give us a reason why.
Did anyone else have this problem?
Re: 3 Periods in 5 weeks, when was my actual last "Period"?
Its all a guess if you weren't charging, so she probably just picked one.
I'd keep your appointment, 10-12 weeks is a common first appointment time and you'll get a better image of the bean.
Congrats, btw!
That is a normal time period for your 1st appt. She probably just chose your middle date to be close to your EDD either way. No big deal.
Also, if you are not sure which one was your period there is no way we can tell you and your OB will probably not be able to tell you either. Which is why they will probably do a dating u/s.
