Anyone else have their doctor tell them to wait a month before starting to try again, after having an early miscarraige? Is there any reason for it other than it would be hard to determine your due date?
They told me to wait but didn't give me a reason really. Then when I was terrible at avoiding and got KU I realized it was so they could date it. Even though I was charting and I know when I ovulated they don't believe me. Other than that this pregnancy is so far going perfectly.
We waited one cycle before TTC, but in all honesty, I feel SO much better now a few months out. We got BFP in our 4th month afterwards and I feel like I'm in a better place now. I don't think I would be able to handle all the new stress quite so well had we conceived any earlier.
I had a very early miscarriage at 4w4d and the doc at the ER told me to treat it like a normal period and that I didn't have to wait. I ended up getting a BFP the very next cycle.
If you had an early, natural m/c, then generally the waiting period is for emotional and dating purposes unless the doctor really does feel your body needs time to heal.
I was fortunate to get pregnant immediately after my miscarriage and so far I am having a textbook pregnancy. It's wonderful.
I had started charting after the m/c to keep an eye on what my body was doing so I knew I had ovulated late (around day 27) when I went in for my dating u/s. The nurses didn't really believe me but the doctor did and her u/s proved I was correct.
We did not wait a month. I got pregnant right after my period after m/c. My doctor did tell us to wait 2 cyles. I did research onlline and there was really no research supporting waiting a month.

Best of luck to you, and lots of hugs.

I never held you, but I always loved you.
