DD has been so defiant and whiny lately. Getting her to do something that she doesn't want to do is like World War III. I'm starting to lose it and am contemplating going back to work because this is driving me crazy! I'm feeling like a bad Mom because I feel like I should be loving this time with her.
Yesterday a woman commented on how cute she is and how she really missed that age with her children. She also said it only gets harder! Lord, give me strength!
Re: Toddler Parenting Book Suggestions?
I thought the Happiest Toddler on the Block by Harvey Karp was helpful. It is a short, quick read and describes specific techniques for taming tantrums and redirecting behavior that work.
