DD- total emotional mess

Tonight it was "I don't want to go to school OR Nancy's house. ?I want to stay home forever with you and play games and go to the park and read stories. ?ForEVER"

Like I don't feel poopy enough going to work every day (ok, some days I see work as a huge break, but still).

Is it drunk thirty on Friday yet? geesh.

Re: DD- total emotional mess

  • Aw, poor baby!  Do you think she might be sick or something?  Not getting enough sleep?  ML does have these feelings but she only gets emotional about it when she is not feeling well or is tired.

  • Drink my love.  Drink.

I'm (impatiently) waiting on Thursday to show up.

  • aggie - she really is just this high strung. ?Needs to get it out of her system. ?She's totally freaked/scared about starting school. ?Once she starts she'll be fine. She's a worrier who doesn't like change much. ?She got done crying tonight and said "ok mommy I feel better now." and fell asleep shortly thereafter lol ?

I just want her to start & get it over with so she can stop stressing about it already! ?

    ?

  • : ( that's sad. poor kiddo.

    give her extra hugs~!

  • Awe! Emily is the same way about change. Moving up to the next class in her school and moving up in gymnastics were a nightmare. She told me she doesn't want to move up. She wants to stay in the 3's class forever.

She also will tell me she never wants to get married and move away. She kept asking questions about growing up one night. I answered and told her eventually she will have a place of her own. She freaked and told me she didn't want to grow up and that she wants to live with me forever.

When does S start school? Hopefully it goes by quick!

  • heh maybe it's just the age? ?I dunno. ?She starts Thursday. ?She was fine until the other night when she asked how many weeks were left... and I told her 4 days. ?That pretty well did the poor kid in LOL
  • Poor baby!  Having emotional girls can be exhausting.  Coloring therapy has recently been helpful with Kate.  Blank paper, every color in the house and she gets to draw a picture of what she's nervous about.  Then we sit down and talk about it.
Also Target had lots of age appropriate books and DVD's on transitioning a few weeks ago for the start of school.  Maybe seeing Dora and Boots go to
"school" would help her.  It won't help your need for a drink but... :)

Hopefully she's feeling better after the weekend.

  • I got her this morning.  She started talking about how she didn't want to go tomorrow, and then I started to agree with her (in a ridiculously silly voice).  "yep, it's going to be horrible.  poopy.  boring.  awful.  everyone will be sooo smelly.... "  Sam "it will not, it'll be FUN!!.... HEYYYY you made me like school, that's not fair!"

heh.  Score one for me LOL  She'll be fine once it starts.  She's too much like me.

And Kates, what on earth is your DD holding in your sig pic ??
