Bummer...AF came 11 DPO

AF came today 11 DPO (26 day cycle). Very disappointing. My last cycle TTC AF came 10 DPO (25 day cycle). In your opinion is this considered a short luteal phase?

I am 34 years old and got off BCP in June. Both my cycles after that I didn't monitor my ovulation, but the cycle lengths were 28 and 29 days so these shorter cycles the last couple of months of TTC suprises me.

Wondering if it is too soon to call by dr?

    Yes, 10-11 DPO is considered a short luteal phase. Are you charting? Do you know for sure that you ovulated 11 days ago? You may have a short cycle but are ovulating earlier, making your LP longer than you think it is. I would chart for a few cycles before calling your Dr. If you haven't already, try out Fertility Friend by clicking my ticker or anyone else's ticker. GL!

    It may be too early for your body to be regular yet...I went off BCP a few months ago, and my LP is all over the place. Hopefully you'll regulate soon!

    I use the CBEFM so I am pretty confident with my ovuluation dates. I checked out Fertility Friend tonight and actual bought a basal body thermometer tonight. Now I just need to figure out how to do all this charting. Seems a bit overwhelming. :) I am still concerned though if I have a short luteal phase because if that is going to be a problem, I want to get it corrected.

    Some doctors believe that a 10-11 day LP is fine, others would call it too short. I understand how you feel, my LP for the last two cycles has been 7 days. I also went off the BCP in June so I'm hoping it's my body regulating. The PP is correct though, if you aren't charting you can't really be sure what's going on.

    Thank you!! I got BFNs today and yesterday, and it's driving me craaaazy (see the spotting post I started about an hour ago) ::sigh:: but I'm trying to stay positive, and still realistic...

    I was told it can take anywhere from 1 to 6 months for your body to completely regulate itself after BC though, so perhaps that is what your cycles are doing now. I'm in the same boat. AF came today, cycle day 26. I went of BC in July. I just may start charting so I can get a better idea what is going on, but it seems so intimidating!  Best of luck to you!

    For what it's worth, I got pregnant pretty quickly with DD with a 10-11 day luteal phase (but I'm obviously no doctor, just thought I'd share my experience).
