Hanna and Kevin?
Can someone fill me in? Apparently there is an inside joke being discussed on one of my posts? Or I'm being associate with this person? (I'm assuming another member on the board?)

I'm sorry to say you have joined this board at a very inopportune time.
We have had a 17 year old girl "playing" on this board for quite sometime now. She has had multiple alternate egos, so no one knows her real name. But the most recent one that actually admitted that she is her was the screen name Hanna+Kevin07, so we just call her Hanna.
Some of her alternate egos have been overtly annoying, while others have been trying to play nice. But either way, we are tired of her. Her latest AE (alternate ego), Hanna+Kevin07 was banned just today, because of all the cussing, and then you showed up, so you could see why we would be looking for clues that you are her. When anyone new joins this board, we look for clues to see if she is her. There are a number of things we look for, but I can't tell you any of them, since obviously we aren't sure of you yet. Sorry, but it's true.
If you aren't her, then just keep doing what you've been doing, and I'm sure you'll be fine. Sorry if any of this hurts your feelings, but you'll learn soon enough that this board isn't all puppies and rainbows. The only thing I'm offended by is the possibility of someone believing me to be 17. Although it would be amazing to feel the way I did at 17 I've come quite far and accomplished quite a bit for myself.
What can I do or say to prove myself? I don't want to spend the next several weeks tip-toeing around and watching every word I say afraid that someone will twist it and use it against me. I don't want to feel like I'm a new student at a preparatory school trying to become friends with the head cheerleader. I graduated almost a decade ago... "ya know, like, since I'm totally not 17".
Suspicions have already been cast against you, unfortunately, because of two things you've done since appearing. However, I'm quite happy to report your diction and syntax are definitely in your favor. Perhaps the largest "tell" our dearly departed Hanna had was her lack of grammar skills.
Like Eaglefoot said, I'm not comfortable telling you what Hanna's "tells" were. We happen to know she's still on the board and active under another AE, one that has already been revealed/called-out, but one that is, at least for the moment, playing nicely, so we've chosen to ignore her. But I wouldn't worry about tip-toeing about. Hanna's tells are numerous, but very specific and highly predictable . . . if you were her (or she is you?) we'll know very soon.
For the time being, I think we're all happy to have you on the board. But, fair warning, the Bump can, quite often, be like high school. Some boards are worse than others, but all of them have their drama at some point or another. We try to keep it to a minimum here on the Baby Names board, though lately, thanks to Hanna, we've been quite unsuccessful.
I think you'll be fine. Hanna would never use a big word like preparatory.
Hanna spent the weekend doing SAT and ACT prep... remember??

Sorry. This is still suspect to me. In fact, it's the main suspicious thing, besides the twin post. Just because someone said Hanna + Kevin as a name for potential twins... why would she assume that was another person on the board??? Could have been a name someone suggested recently, or a name from a TV show or anything else. But for her to automatically pick out of thin air that it was someone that belongs to this board is highly unusual.
And for the record, I still believe WhitneyNicole is Hanna. Absolutely convinced.Maybe I'm a little too suspicious at this point but certain things stand out.
It usually doesn't take long to "out" our dear Hanna/Sasha... so I guess time will tell.

If she's legit, then she definitely has my apologies, but like I said, because of the crap over the last month or two... I'm skeptical with a few things.
I don't try to fit in at all...I figure if you guys like me, you'll like my weirdness too. I like your weirdness Eaglefoot. I let my freak flag fly proudly.
