bc DS has bad constipation issues. He poops a tiny bit here and there throughout the day when he has a bad day or so. Poor thing has a bad rash from all the pooping and wiping. I have been using liners and using ointment, but its so bad. I feel horrible for him. But I can't imagine using sposies, we would have went through 30 btwn today and yesterday.
He is sleeping in a sposie now with overnight desitin on. Poor thing screams NO when I try to change him =( His bottom is SO red.
Re: Glad I use cloth
My BFF is having the same issue with her toddler. Except she's using disposables and goes through TONS everyday. And he's a big boy, so he's wearing pullups most of the time. Insane. I've tried to encourage her to at least try a liner so she might get more use out of the pullups but she's not interested.
Anyway, I really wanted to mention that she went to the Dr and got an Rx cream. It cleared up the worst of the rash in 2 days. Now she's back to just regular cream. Might be worth a call to see if something might help his little bum.
She's also doing miralax twice a day, seems to help.
Sorry, hope he feels better soon.

Seems issues stem a little deeper than this...but have you tried giving him prune juice? My dd is constipated and we give her prune juice every morning either during her breakfast or her mid morning snack. I can see the difference when we don't give it to her for some reason. You might wanna give that a try. I usually giver her the sippy 1/2 juice 1/2 water.
Hope he gets better soon...
