Looking for a labor buddy

This sounds like a great thing to do!  Anyone out there willing to be a labor buddy to a first time mom just let me know!!  I will be taking applications until....well, until I find one I like.  LOL!!!

    Forgive my ignorance, and I know I could search.  But what's a labor buddy?  I might want one too.  Does she fly to Maryland to hang out while I'm in labor.   LOL

     

    ETA:  found the answer.  I would like a labor buddy as well.

    No prob!  I just recently found out.  It is someone on here that has your email or phone#, some type of personal info and you basically talk to them about anything but you fill them in if anything unexpected happens or when you go into labor and they let everyone know on here.  That is what I've gathered of it!  Oh and it should be someone who doesn't have the same due date or too close so you aren't both in labor at the same time.

     I think we could make it work.  I may actually end up having a scheduled C-section since my husband and I were both HUGE babies and LO is already weighing over his gestation periods!  haha  How far past your due date will you OB let you go?  Mine will only let you go a week so I have a cut off.  I'm ok with it if you are!
