Are you taking LO trick or treating this yr?

I think DS is still too young to go trick or treating. We don't even allow him to eat candy. But some friends of ours are taking their kids around their neighborhood and wanted us to bring DS along. There will be 6 other kids and the youngest is 4. WDYT? Is your LO going trick or treating? If not, what are you doing with them for Halloween? (if you celebrate)

Yep, we went last year too. We just go the couple of blocks around my parents house. That's plenty.

Yep, to a town center that gives away candy. I've already taught him how to say "Trick or Treat". I will let him have a few pieces of candy but the rest will be mine! LOL

We'll probably do what we did last year and take him around the block, just so the neighbors can see.. and then come back to our place and hand out candy to all of the trick or treaters.

Yes. She doesn't know what candy really looks like. So in her mind, she will be walking around her neighborhood (which she thinks she rules anyway) and having all of the neighbors talk to her and put little things in her bag. That in itself will be the fun part. When we get home, we put the candy in a stash for the adults and in her mind, the event will be over.

We did this last year (right after her 1st birthday) and she loved it. We also passed out candy to ToTers.

Yes, we dress him up and take him each year. Just to a few houses on our block. Our neighbors like to see him and he has a good time.

We'll take her to a couple of houses in the neighborhood. Our neighborhood also has a block party on Halloween a few hours before trick or treating that we'll go to.

Yes we will be taking DD.. we did last year too! We will be meeting up with my sister & her kids to go trick or treating around her neighborhood!!

Yes. We took her out around our neighborhood last year, too. She's allowed to eat some of the candy.

Yup, we went last year too. She loved it and we gave her a lollipop and we ate the rest! lol This year I'm sure it will be harder to keep her from eating it but it's not like its an every day habit so I dont see the big deal!

We are doing Boo at the Zoo on the 16th where she can trick or treat, haunted carousel, animal encounters, magic show, etc. Then on Halloween we will probably take her to the 5 or so close neighbors and then she will hand out candy the rest of the night. Most of my neighbors go to their churches we may go to her DC which is a church based since our church doesn't do anything but will probably just hang out at home.

We go to the Nursing home Apartments where my Grandma lives. The people there love to see the little ones and it brightens their day. We have done that the last 2 years and will do that again this year. Last year we just went up and down the street, I think we went to 7 houses. This year we will do the same. It was really cold here last year.

Absolutely! It's fun, and he went last year too.
He doesn't get to eat ALL the candy he gets, but a few pieces here and there never hurt anyone.

Yep. We went last year with all of our friends. We all have 2-3 year olds. She had a blast and she is already saying 'trick or treat". I don't think she is too young and she doesn't really eat candy either, its more for the experience.

we're going this year and we went last year too. we just started to let him eat a few pieces of candy, but so far the only thing he has eaten is gummies and reese. most likely we will just end up eating all his candy like last year. He will be a dinosaur.

Yep! Only to a few houses, probably. He's a little too little for candy yet and doesn't know what it is anyways!

Too bad I have GD and DH isn't a big candy person or we'd go haul it in for ourselves! LOL!

Yes, we'll be going trick or treating. We also took DS to a couple of houses last year. I think it's a fun experience for kids, even if you keep the candy for yourself.

Heck, yeah! He's going to be a pirate and I've tought him to say "Aaaargh, matey!" but he usually leaves off the "matey" part. He tells random people he's going to be a pirate this halloween and get lollipops.

We let him have a couple of pieces last year and will let him pick out a couple this year, mommy and daddy and coworkers will get the rest.

Yes! We went last year, too. Although DD didn't really know what was going on. (Which was great b/c I got to eat all her candy!).

This year we'll go around the block with her 2 cousins (who are also about the same age). DD's super excited about her costume (Minnie Mouse). I'll let her have a piece of candy or 2, but the rest is for me! Stick out tongue
