We did with our first pregnancy so that if something was unexpected we'd be prepared and have all of our research (doctors, therapy, etc) before the baby was born.

This. I was nervous, but at the same time I knew that it didn't matter to us if the baby had it or not. We would still love it the same.
We have our scan tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous. But, whatever happens, we've already decided that we'll handle the situation the best way we know how. Plus, that's what the counselling is for.
Three angel babies...I think it's time for a change
We had our scan yesterday, and it wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. We got a great look at the baby (it was our first ultrasound) - the little one was wiggling around like crazy!
The tech was really awesome, and she told us that everything on the ultrasound looked normal, and the measurements were all in the normal range, so now we're just waiting on the bloodwork results (which should come in later this week)
Take a deep breath - the first trimester is scary in general, and I personally feel so much better having seen the baby and knowing that whatever the test results are, my H and I made the best decision for our family (deciding to have the NT scan and get as much info as possible about our baby as early as possible)
Good luck with whatever you decide (whether you end up doing the 1st tri screening or not), wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!
