Saw heartbeat, got due date and told boss...whew!

I guess that's a big day on this journey, right?

We found out real early we were PG and I was surprised that the same day I went in for my first appointment two weeks ago, my doctor wanted to do an u/s. Needless to say, there wasn't much to see at that point aside from a larger uterus.

So she told me to come back in two weeks--which was today and we got to see our LO for the first time. Absolutely the most amazing sight in the world and while my heart melted when I saw that little flashing heartbeat, I totally lost it when I saw my husband go crazy with his iphone, trying to take pictures of the screen. Until this morning, I don't think it was really real for him. All my bloodwork made her happy and my betas were at 1,800 last week when I had the blood drawn. Couldn't have been happier or more relieved

My job has some craziness associated with it, so after such a positive appointment, I figured it was time to fess up with my supervisor and I did--she was amazing and she agreed it's best for us to wait until later to tell the rest of my coworkers, but I figured since I'll be having more doctor's appointments, she needed to know for scheduling purposes.

I know we're technically not out of the mc danger zone yet, but it really was an amazing moment today and I feel like I can breathe a little easier.

I don't get to post too often, but I lurk a heck of a lot and I can't tell you how amazing everyone on this board seems to be--there's such a wealth of information here and support. You guys have no idea how encouraging it is, even to those of us that are mostly reading and not really posting much (yet!)

ETA: Oh, and if anyone was curious...measuring at 6w1d, exactly. Which totally matches with my lmp. I can't quite wrap my head around creating a ticker yet, but I'm tempted after today!
