The little white suits are SO cute but I just can't justify spending $40 for an outfit he will wear once. The little shawl/blanket that my mom was baptised in (as well and my brother and I) will be draped around his shoulders... so would it be tacky to just have him nicely dressed but not in all white?
I spotted an adorable pair of baby slacks and along with a button down shirt and blue vneck sweater. It's so, so sweet. But it is appropriate for a baptism?
Re: Boys baptism outfit... anyone not do a white suit?
My BFP Chart
Our church does not require you have the babies wear white. I think it would personally be OK (I've seen godparents wear jeans and t shirts LOL).
Just ask the Rectory, they should be able to give you any requirements they may have.

in pearl blue. Best part is it's something DS can actually wear again.
We used a light blue outfit that my DH used.
Ty will be baptized next month. I am guilty of consignment shopping and found his outfit there, with tags still on it. It's black pants with a tux stripe and a shiny black vest. It has a white dress shirt with a collar and a dark blue pattern tie.
I think he looks like a cute little man dressed up and he will be more comfortable in it than in a full white suit, since he won't be wearing a suit jacket.
