I posted this on TTGP also, just in case you see it twice.
So, I went to my gynecologist today to get some things cleared up. Thank God I did. Turns out the tube that I had removed over 10 years ago was removed due to a hydrosalpinx. I had no idea. I thought the huge cyst that I had removed had somehow ?eaten? the tube. Granted, this was a long time before I had ever been married or was thinking about children and I admit my details of the whole thing are sketchy. So, anyway?I come to find out that the entire tube was not taken. It was a partial removal of the left tube. So, the fluid in the left tube that the u/s tech saw last week was actually the tube that was partially removed and therefore not functioning. There is a hydrosalpinx there again, but again, no need to worry about that tube since it?s already non-functioning and I?m not having any ?symptoms.? I didn?t realize that I had part of that tube still in there. The reason nothing showed up on the u/s with the right tube was because the tube is healthy. You can?t see a healthy fallopian tube on an u/s. I had suspected that maybe I was misinformed in the past and that maybe my right tube had been removed and the left tube now had a hydrosalpinx, which of course sent me into a panic. Turns out, the left tube is still a bum tube, with a hydrosalpinx to boot?and the right tube is still healthy?giving us the same chances of conceiving that I?ve had for the last 10 years. So, I cancelled the appointment with the RE, as it seems unnecessary at this point. My gynecologist and I agreed that nine months total of TTC would be enough for us to both consider doing testing and additional follow up as to why it?s ?taking so long.? So, If I?m not pregnant by March, I?m to give her a call. DH and I had a long talk and we agreed to step up our baby-making over the next few cycles and really try to seal the deal here. I?m in very good spirits today. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. You all have been a wonderful support for me over the past week. I cannot thank you enough. If I can ever return the favor?

If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.
