Okay, this might be kind of long but I could really use some reassurance!
I ended up having my son at 34 weeks because of pre-e. I had severely high blood pressure. It only got worse after I delivered- which is supposed to be the cure for pre-e. I spent 9 days after I had Luke in the hospital because they couldn?t find the right combo of meds to keep my blood pressure low. It was going all the way up to 200/130. Finally, they found the right combo of two different meds three times a day.
Now that I?m home my husband checks my BP manually and we have an electric one. (not the wrist kind-it blows up around arm.)
Well, if I go up the stairs, walk to far, cry, watch an intense episode of law and order, basically do anything, my blood pressure will go up. Its so annoying and I?m starting to go crazy. My son is in the NICU and everyday I have to lay here so my BP doesn?t go up and then visit him and come home and rest. So my meds barely keep the BP at bay.
Here?s my question: My doctors said that it will eventually go down in the next 6 weeks when my body gets rid of all the pregnancy hormones. Did any one else experience blood pressure issues this bad from pre-e? If you did how long before it went away!? I?m starting to go crazy thinking my life will be like this forever. I just don?t get it because I?m on all these meds and one day my BP will be back to normal? Wouldn?t my meds make my BP too low then?

Re: Pre-E question. Relating to high blood pressure.
