Successful G-Parent visit #1

Yesterday, after 9 days of staying with us and our new baby, my parents went home.  It was a nice visit - very low key as my dad just finished a round of chemo and needed to recover.  They spent all of their time holding the baby - I don't think Alex was set down other than to sleep at night.  (Is that why he now needs constant attention??)  My SIL was AWESOME and prepared or organized dinner almost every night.

DH and I were thankful we spent the first week on our own to figure out life with a new baby before "help" came.  I'd highly recommend that!

Now, three days of quiet before the other Grandma  (MIL) visits on Thursday - Monday.  Expect a few rant postings to come, but I'm working on my patience...  After that, DH hits the road full time again...

Good news is that our preferred day care called and confirmed DS's spot - so that is squared away.  YAY!

Life is good. :)

    Glad to hear everything went well! GL with your MIL. At least it is only for a few days. :)

    Yay for a nice visit.  We did something similar to what you did - except I think we waited 2 weeks to have my parents down and then took 2 weeks off and then had MIL there for 5 days.  It was nice to have the staggered help.  And that's great about daycare - must be nice to not have to worry about that!
