  I just have the same rod and panels hanging over the door as I do on the windows in the living room.  We have an open floor plan, so it basically one room.

  I have a rod with some panels that have those big o gromets so they slide shut easily.  I have 3 sets of sliders in my house and have this style on all of them.  I really never shut them because it is pretty private here.  But they do slide shut when we watch movies in the great room.

  Vertical blinds and over the top a very pretty drapery fabric valance.

  we have drapes on ours...I thought it would be a pain b/c they split in the center (vs. pulling all to one side) but it's been fine, even with 900 kids running in and out
