Preface: obviously, this is not everyone's belief/or cup of tea. I'm not a holy-roller by any means, but I'm finding it comforting during this time.
I know this is largely a Catholic thing, but I was wondering if you prayed and asked any saints in particular to help you out during TTCAL or during pg, or before, or whatever.
I prayed for St. Joseph to help me when I was trying get pregnant when I did. Then I miscarried and since then, I've been praying with St. Catherine of Sweden (in my siggy--she's against miscarriage). My sister gave me a St. Gerard bracelet (he's supposed to help with a healthy pregnancy).
Since the m/c, a few women have come out of the woodwork to tell me who to pray with/who they prayed with. One co-worker even told me that her Grandma couldn't get pg, then prayed with St. Gerard and got pg. Then named her son (co-worker's dad) Gerard.
I also just pray straight up to God.
If you're praying, who are you talking to? If it's a St., who is it and what are they a patron of?
Edit: Catholics are not supposed to pray TO saints, but rather ask saints to help them. You're only supposed to pray TO God. I changed my wording so I don't get struck by lightening.

I do - I am Catholic. I pray to St. Gerard - he is the Patron St. of Motherhood. I actually have 2 of his prayer cards. One to help get pregnant and one once you are. I pray to St. Anne, Mary's mother, she is the Patron St. for Fertility. The prayer card I have for her is to obtain a special favor. I also pray to Mary - nothing formal, but to allow me to conceive and have a healthy baby.
St. Gerard's feast day is October 16th, the day after the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance day.
Here is the St. Gerard prayer for Motherhood:
O good St Gerard, powerful intercessor before God and wonder worker of our day, confidently I call upon you and seek your aid. On Earth you always fulfilled God's designs, help me now to do the holy will of God. Implore the Master of Life, from whom all paternity proceeds, to render me fruitful in offspring, that I may raise up children to God in this life, and in the world to come, heirs to the Kingdom of His Glory.
Amen.
Here is the prayer I say to St. Anne:
Glorious St. Anne, filled with compassion for those who invoke thee, and with love for those who suffer, heavily laden with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at thy feet and humbly beg of thee to take the present affair which I recommned to thee under thy special protection.
[insert request here]
Vouchsafe to recommned it to thy daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus, so that He may bring it to a happy issue. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day beholding my God face to face, and with thee and Mary and all the Saints, praising and blessing Him to all eternity.
Good St. Anne, mother of her who is our Life, our Sweetness and our Hope, pray to her for us and obtain our request. [the card says to say this last little line 3 times]
I realize this is how I should have worded my post, in terms of who I pray to.
