Stressful past 2 days!!! Poor DS!

So my ILs are visiting right now... MIL got in Thurs. night and FIL got in last night. My MIL spent pretty much ALL DAY yesterday holding DS and playing with him (which I don't blame her... it was her first real day with him!) but because of it, DS missed a lot of his normal nap times! He ended up going into a huge screaming and crying fit that lasted almost 45 minutes because she didn't come get me when he started showing signs of being hungry... she would just pop the pacifier in his mouth instead! Poor little guy! I had to walk around trying everything I could to soothe him and was finally able to get him to calm down and latch on. Then after he got all nice and full and sleepy, I brought him back out to her and he started to whimper and cry again! I felt so bad because she just wanted to spend time with him, but he just wanted me to hold him because she had been (not trying to sound mean) hogging him all day long.

Then today, FIL wanted to take us out to lunch. So I got DS ready and as I was putting him in his car seat, I noticed he was getting hungry too but decided it could wait until we got to the restaurant b/c FIL was walking around saying "anytime now... I'm getting hungry!" (he is NOT a patient person!) So we get to the restaurant and I feed him in the car, but then he stayed up the whole time we were out because he wasn't at home and didn't want to go to sleep. I finally got him to go down for a nap about an hour and a half ago (thank goodness!!!) but right after he went down, FIL wanted us all to go out and do something together. I told him that they could all go, but me and DS were staying home! He REALLY needed this nap!!! I am not going through another screaming session tonight like we had last night! Not only did it stress him out, but it stressed me out too!

I felt so bad because there was nothing I could do to get him to stop Made my heart break! I know that they are excited to see him and everything, but I'm putting my foot down about his schedule!!! I don't like seeing him that unhappy!

Just had to get that off my chest!
